The Los Angeles Sparks take on the Seattle Storm. Our WNBA odds series has our Sparks Storm prediction, odds, and pick. Find out how to watch Sparks Storm.

The Los Angeles Sparks are still unlikely to make the WNBA playoffs this season, but their chances of making a run at the postseason have gone way up after their last two games. The Sparks have won two in a row, beating the Dallas Wings on Friday before shocking the reigning WNBA champion Las Vegas Aces on Sunday night. The 96-92 win over Vegas was surprising enough in its own right, but what made the result that much more improbable is that the Sparks were down by 15 points. They were blitzed at the very start of the game, giving up the first 14 points to Vegas in the opening three minutes. The live betting line went over minus-20 points for the Aces. If you made an in-game bet on the Sparks at plus-20.5 points and then continued to make bets taking the Sparks plus the points over the course of the game, you made a pile of money. The Sparks built a lead of 10 points late in the third quarter and then withstood a fierce Vegas run — the Aces did briefly take the lead at 82-78 in the fourth quarter — to score their most important victory of the season to date. Coming back from a 15-point deficit early and then a four-point deficit late in the game showed how resilient this team can be. The Sparks will try to sustain what they have begun to develop, and the Seattle Storm represent a very good measuring stick for Los Angeles at the present moment.

Why The Sparks Could Cover The Spread

The Los Angeles Sparks might be figuring things out. Down 15 to the WNBA champions midway through the first quarter, the Sparks outscored the Las Vegas Aces by 24 points over the next two and a half quarters to take a 10-point lead. Vegas then hit Los Angeles with a 25-11 run to retake the lead. The Sparks, in that moment, could have folded the tent. Instead, they battled back and hit some really tough shots to break through against an elite opponent. This is the kind of performance which can really unlock a team's confidence and belief. Los Angeles is getting 11.5 points, which does seem large in light of how well the Sparks are playing right now.

Why The Storm Could Cover The Spread

The Storm lost to the Minnesota Lynx in a blowout on Sunday. That might seem like a reason to pick against the Storm and not for them. However, Seattle was due for a clunker. The Storm had won six straight games heading into Minnesota. The Lynx are really good. One should not put too much stock in that outcome. Seattle, having played a really bad game, is in a great bounce-back spot here. It's far more likely that the Storm will play well in this game. This team has been so good over the past two weeks that one game won't send Seattle into a tailspin. If Seattle plays great, it should win big over Los Angeles.

Final Sparks-Storm Prediction & Pick

The Storm should win, but the Sparks are playing better. Our recommendation is to pass on this game. Stay away and wait for a live play.

Final Sparks-Storm Prediction & Pick: Sparks +11.5
